Urban Body Jewelry

An Identity for the e-commerce Body Jewelry company that shares joy, youth and social media.

The new UBJ identity.

A welcome antidote to an awash of darkness and negativity, UBJ.com demonstrates the power of positive about the world of expansions and body piercings, ranging from a cry of self-recognition to an expression of protest, art or other sentiment that you want to convey through perforations. Launched in 2014, the body jewelry company produces high quality merchandise at the best prices on the market, but which are also unique and limited edition. Which means that the pieces that you can buy in their online store will not find it elsewhere. I have designed a new identity for UrbanBodyJewelry.com that captures its unique and exclusive point of view.

UBJ calls itself “body jewelry with a mission,” and it has made good on its promise “to prove that we are all equal in the interior, human beings with feelings, regardless of what we are outside, living without stereotypes of a society that every day is more in decline”. The company was co-founded by Tom Lee, a viral video producer and an enthusiast of body piercings.

The primary brand color is a bright, friendly (but intense) skin tone, and primary typography is set in by the owner Supersonik Love, which shares dynamics qualities with the logotype. Together, the elements help establish an appropriately youth and enthusiastic visual personality for the brand.
