Nicaragua National Soccer Team Kit Gold Cup 2017

Nicaragua National Soccer Team Kit Gold Cup 2017

The National Football Team of Nicaragua is the team represented by players of Nicaraguan nationality. It is run by the Nicaraguan Football Federation, which is affiliated with CONCACAF.

Since joining the FIFA, Nicaragua has progressed gradually in its soccer level, to achieve the 92nd place in the FIFA ranking, a historic event in pinolero football.

This will be the second time that Nicaragua participates in the Gold Cup and first since 2009.

In 2017, the Nicaraguan team qualified for the Gold Cup, destined to be played in the United States. For which I was commissioned to design the blue uniform characteristic that the selection would use in the first 3 games of the cup. This will be the second time that Nicaragua participates in the Gold Cup and first since 2009.

Challenge:

To update the characteristic Kit without changing its presence and recognition on the field.

For 2 months, worked closely with a team of JOMA International, knowing and discussing the limitations and challenges involved in designing a uniform for a national team, knowing the restrictions on the part of CONCACAF and the opinion of the Nicaraguan fanatics.

Solution:

A blue Kit with white details, respecting the colors of the Nicaraguan flag, a simple but modern design.

The blue color predominated to differentiate it from the other Central American national teams, taking into account that 3 of the 5 Central American countries have a "Blue and White" uniform for the colors of their respective flags.

The euphoria of uniforming under the “blue and white” and supporting the Soccer Team led thousands of Nicaraguans to buy their shirts in different stores in the country. The official store of FENIFUT, reported sales close to nine thousand units, prior to the first date of the Gold Cup.
